MP3 Takeaways

In the multimedia art unit, I learned several key techniques for creating and modifying visual elements using Photoshop. A major takeaway was mastering the use of glow and spotting tools to enhance images and remove imperfections. These tools allowed me to add subtle highlights, create focus points, and seamlessly eliminate blemishes or unwanted spots, resulting in cleaner and more polished visuals. I also gained proficiency in transformation and resizing, which are essential for adjusting the scale, orientation, and perspective of elements within a composition. These skills are crucial for maintaining the balance and proportion of visual elements, ensuring they fit perfectly within the intended design. Additionally, I explored techniques for changing backgrounds, which involved using selection tools, layer masks, and blending modes to seamlessly integrate new backgrounds and create dynamic, contextually appropriate scenes. Cropping tools were another focus, helping me to refine and fr

Project 11 collage

Image
I made this collage by first deciding on a background which I made black. And then I used the text to add texts with a font to write "Collection of memories" which came from the idea of me wanting to use pictures of me from when I was younger to now, so it shows growth. Then I used 6 images. I had to use the crop tool to make the images the size I wanted to also I used to spot fixing tool to remove watermarks on the photo. Then I blended the image so it would look natural. Next I drew cute designs around the photos to make it less boring. Finally I drew arrows to show the timeline or which images was next.

Project 10

Image
In editing this photo of a pair of Adidas Samba shoes, I began by removing minor blemishes using Photoshop's Healing Brush Tool to blend out any visible scuffs or dirt marks. Then, I utilized the Spot Healing Brush Tool for a seamless touch-up on smaller imperfections. Next, I assessed the brightness and tone by opening the Histogram panel and taking a screenshot, which revealed a balanced distribution. I enhanced the image further using the Dodge Tool to brighten specific areas and the Burn Tool to deepen shadows, providing a clearer contrast. For a creative touch, I converted the image to a Smart Object and applied a subtle filter non-destructively to preserve the original details, capturing the result in another screenshot. Lastly, I created a custom style by adjusting blending options and layer effects, saving it with a descriptive name, and documenting the process with before and after screenshots to illustrate the enhancements.

Project 9

Image
I photoshopped this photo by first making a selection with the flowers, so I can make them the main focus of the picture. Then I inverse cropped the image so the background would be removed not the flowers. Then I added a new background for the image. Then I made the image smaller to 400 pixels to 500. After that I used transform warp to fix the image and make it better, then lastly I used autocorrection to finalize the image.

Gradient Last Name

Image
I created this background by creating my own pattern brush, in a new photoshop file I took a flower pattern and then colored it with the colors I wanted it to be. Then I uploaded that file as a pattern brush. Then within a different new project I used the pattern I created and make it into a background. After that I then create my last name "Lin" through text and colored it to a lighter color. Lastly I copied that text and recolored it to a darker color and moved it downwards to create a 3D effect within my last name.

MP2 My AP classes / College Artboard.

Image
This Art board consist of a collection of colleges I applied to, and some of which that I got into. I created this art board by first finding the logos of the colleges I applied to then I sorted them for the horizontal art board by 3s and took out my first pick art board so it can stand out and added an description of why I chose this art board to fill in white space. The vertical art board I have less space to work with, so I had to make the logos smaller and then line them up in one line and then place my first pick next to them. This is how I created my two art board.

School Event Project

The subject of my poster is A man singing in the center of the poster. The slogan I used was "Come to the Talent Show To Witness a Spectacular Performance Now!" So I can advertise the talent show, so more people would be more willing to come. My poster has two color layers, blue and purple, that was created by overlaying a man subject. I also have another text box to describe what the man was doing to describe the a part of the talent show, which is singing. Finally I added fireworks and a black background to enhance my poster.
